"How to Get More Flexible, Fast."

Getting flexible and learning to do the splits is not the only reason to learn about stretching.  Neither is kicking high, though these are good goals and benefits to having a stretching routine.  The real reason to get super flexible is so your body will stay young and you will get less injuries.  As well as being able to compete in your sport at a high level.

Flexibility takes effort and knowledge.  The effort is the easy part. The knowledge however is the hard part.  I have read so many books on stretching, yoga and flexibility.  I have done every program you can imagine and some that you really shouldn’t know about.  And the one thing most of them had in common was that they didn’t work worth beans.

That’s right they didn’t work.  I spend a lot of money trying to learn how to get more flexible and learn to stretch.  The ones I think that made me the maddest were the yoga ones.  Now, not all yoga is bad but the tapes I watched were a complete joke.  They started out by showing me impossible positions that only a born contortionist could even begin to get into.  And the music was really terrible.  Yoga wasn't going to teach me how to get flexible fast.

Then there were the old stretches that we learned in school.  The basic ‘stretch and hold’ moves.  If you had P.E. you did these before every sport.  They don’t work either.  Stretching and flexibility is something you need to understand if your going to do any kind of program to gain more flexibility.  In other words, you can't just stretch and not know what your doing.  You will need to understand stretching so you can know what to look for and notice if you’re doing it right.

I wont bore you with the names of all the programs I tried or bought.  I will just tell you about the one that got me started down the right path.  I got an email from my mother, where she got the information I don’t know, she told me to check out this stretching book.  So I did.  I figured since I spend so much already what’s a little bit more.  I am truly glad I did.

I ordered the stretching book then forgot about it.  About a week later I received this package.  After opening it up and looking at it, I remembered I ordered the book on stretches.  Since that was my day off I took an hour to read the book.  I was truly fascinated by his explanation on flexibility and how strength holds a part.  I had come across a little bit of what was being explained before but not where I could understand it this way.

I took the next hour and worked through the stretches.  I got instant results!  I was really amazed.  I thought it most be a fluke.  But it was enough to keep me going.  I decided to stay with it for 7 days.  After the 7 days I had greater flexibility and the stretches in the book were becoming easer.

The good thing about these stretches was the fact that I didn’t have to be flexible to do them.  If you have gotten some programs you will know what I mean by that.  He had beginner stretches, intermediate stretches and advanced stretches.  I started with beginner.  I was truly impressed with the book so I bought the video and 3 other books he has.  I hope they will prove as helpful

I have included a link to their web page if you’re interested.  I would give it a try they have a money back guarantee and I think you will like the products.  The stretches also come in DVD or video.
